Day 17 – Overcoming Life’s Pressures

When a aircraft moves down the runway the air pressure around the wings changes…

Air speeds increase which causes the air pressure to drop… meanwhile the bottom side of the wing moves straight. Pressure is intensified

As a jet increases its speed more and more… pressure is pushing the bottom of the wings to lift… and the Boeing lifts off the ground… PRESSURE… its a physical law designed by the Architect of the Universe

External Pressure and Internal Pressure

External Pressure is one that primarily distracts and derails us WHILE…

Your asleep however emails are materializing.

Internal Pressure can drive you to overcome anything.

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower. The Name of the Lord signifies all that God is in himself – his attributes, his love, mercy, power, knowledge; which allow man to regard him as a sure Refuge.

We are safe in the storms of life. The righteous runneth into it (the tower), and is safe; literally, is set on high…

For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy. New American

It can be difficult to balance your air craft through turbulence…

There is your relationship with Christ that must continued to be nourished.

Your Family

Your ministry

Your school/work

Evangelism is in complete without discipleship

Will you ever have them equally balanced????…. NO

A leaders role is not to maintain. It is to gain altitude. We will always need good managers to keep the gears turning and the bearings greased…

But only leaders can advance the  ministry and give it the significant lift it needs for the future.

Keep an eye to what you build.(BALANCE) 5 Areas

“Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house” (Luke 19:1-10 NIV)

Most people are afraid to climb that high, because if they fail, the fall will kill them. I’m here to encourage you Jesus is at the bottom of the tree….

Approximately one-third of a commercial jets energy is expended in take-off and gaining altitude. Once they reach 32,000 feet they maintain altitude, that requires less energy.

A leader needs to give the ministry the vertical lift it requires to improve and advance…

Time and energy is  different we can spend two days with our kids/spouse our twenty minutes and create a moment.  Or as a leader come to church and not connect and create a moment.

Remember there is a flight tower at every airport to assist you in landing/and taking off…A pilot can only do a couple of things to a plane…  Pretty much change the oil… Allow an specialist in your life… before to take off.

This is what has kept me.

  1. Stay in the House of God
  2. Stay in the WORD, PRAYER, FASTING
  3. Do the work of an evangelist
  4. Invest in a disciple
  5. Be faithful in your tithe and offering.

Day 16 – Miracles For Today

miraclesMark 11:22-23 “For verily I say unto you,  That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Hello there, my friend.  Even if you weren’t raised in church, you no doubt are familiar with some well known miracles that are in the bible:

-Jesus’ birth; He was born unto Mary, who was a virgin!   Luke 1:30-35

-Daniel in the lions den; Daniel spent the entire night in a hole in the ground with a pack of hungry lions-and made it out alive!   Daniel ch. 6

-And this miracle was even made into an attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood: Jesus parting the Red Sea for the people of Israel as Pharaoh and his army closed in on them.   Exodus 14:21

You may wonder if God still does miracles today, especially in the world in which we now live.  The answer is emphatically yes!  God still performs miracles today.  Let me share with you just one of the miracles God has done for me, aside from the greatest miracle in my life which is my salvation.

A few years back, I was expecting my third child.  All was going well, except this particular pregnancy had left me with pain in my left knee to the point of hardly being able to walk or stand. Around six months into my pregnancy my husband and I attended a Full Gospel Business dinner meeting.  It was a Spirit-Filled meeting!  When the call went out for those present needing a miracle, I went forward.  The evangelist ministering said to me “The reason you are in so much pain is because your left leg is shorter than your right leg.  So your right leg is carrying almost double the weight.”  The evangelist asked me had I ever noticed that, I said I had not.

The evangelist instructed me to sit in a chair, and asked everyone to stretch out their hands toward me as she prayed.  My left leg literally began to grow out about an inch-maybe more.  I saw her literally pulling my leg out before my eyes!!  Let me tell you, nothing will grow your faith more than that.  All pain in my left leg ceased, and has  not returned since.

God is a healing, miracle working God!  And He stands ready to perform a miracle for you.  Here are a few practical points on accessing the miraculous power of God:

  1.  Only believe.  Luke 8:50  Jesus said, “Fear not; only believe”
  2. Get a prayer partner, someone to agree with you in prayer. Matt 18:19 “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”
  3. Ask according to the Word of God. I John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in Him: that if  we ask anything according to His will, he hears us:  And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know we have the petitions that we desired of Him”
  4. And finally, Walk in forgiveness.  When we petition God we must not have anything against our brother or sister.  Mark 11:23-24 tells us we can literally move mountains!  (See opening scripture)  But we must also include verse 25 of that same chapter: “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any..”

Be assured of this; God is more than willing and able to do abundantly, gloriously above and beyond all that we could possibly imagine.  So take your petitions boldly before your God today, and set your Miracle in Motion!

Day 15 – God’s Champion

God’s Champion

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (Message)

24-25 You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.

26-27 I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

Today I’d like to share about becoming God’s Champion!  Ever since I can remember sports have always captivated me, whether it was participating in a game of basketball or watching a football game on TV. There is something about live competition that awakens my spirit.  In 1 Cor. 9:24-27 we see the apostle Paul encouraging the Corinthian church to become God’s Champions by referencing the Isthmian games, games that were popular in their time.  He writes how each athlete earnestly competed to be champion of the games, despite only one winner being crowned. Just as the Corinthians were exhorted to become champions in their day I’d like to challenge you to become God’s Champion today.

Here are some keys to living victoriously on your road to becoming God Champion!

 1)  Run the race with all your Heart!

Always do your very best for God!  To do you best you must give your best! Jesus gave his very best for us, I love how Colossians 3:22-25 states it in the message version

22-25 Servants, do what you’re told by your earthly masters. And don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.

Serve God with all of your heart in all you do don’t hold back!  Dive right into the race you have nothing to lose!  As you are running the race for God, give him your very best in service, no matter how small your beginnings God will reward you accordingly.

When you love God with all of your heart be prepared for the impossible.  He can do amazing things with a fully surrendered heart!

2)  Stay focused on the Heavenly Crown!

Don’t allow earthly distractions to steal your heavenly focus, many times we can allow temporary distractions cut in on our progress!  Our goal is to focus on our God purpose, but along the way distractions will always try to sap our godly zeal.

The distractions may come in the form of:

  • People
  • Problems
  • Pain

But always remember the remedy is:

  • Prayer-keeps you holy!
  • Prayer-keeps your heart from growing bitter!
  • Prayer-keeps your commitment to your purpose strong!

Prayer is the weapon that will catapult us over the obstacles, when life gets tough rather and trust in the arm of the flesh seek his presence to keep you on track!  Liken prayer to talking to your coach, ask him to:

  • Give you strength!2013-06-07 Bicycle Friends ROCKY
  • Work on you in your weak areas!
  • To train you to be the best for Him!

3)  Train to become Great!

Every champion must endure strict training on their road to victory.  We may not be in a physical gym but the circumstances of life are our training center.   The way we respond to each situation will show us the strengths or weaknesses in our faith, but remember that His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Cor. 12:9) so remember God is training you to be great and he will not give you more than you can handle!

Establish daily disciplines for greatness

Most people never see champions train they only see them hoisting a trophy in the air after winning a championship match, what we as fans fail to see is the hours of preparation and strict regiment each athlete has to adhere to, to achieve their dream.

As believers we will need to become disciplined to live out our faith, it will not come naturally but through dedication to Christ in our daily living.

Here are some practical ways to help in your training:

  • Set a time of personal devotion with God.
  • Review your spiritual progress at different intervals throughout the year.
  • Find a mentor to help you identify your blind spots (someone who will tell you the truth)!

Expect more from yourself, believe me you can do more than you think you are God’s Champion in the making!

God’s Champion Prayer:

Lord I commit my heart to you daily, I understand that becoming great is process, I ask that you to give me the strength to stay focused on my heavenly call, train me to be your champion, in Jesus name Amen!

Day 14 – Fighting TEMPTATIONS

Day 13 – The Power of Belief

John‬ ‭10:24-30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

24)“The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25) Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not BELIEVE. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26) but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28) I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30) I and the Father are one.””

What a powerful scripture we see here where Jesus explains to the Jews that He has already told them truths but yet they still choose not to believe Him.

What spoke to me the most in this passage is when Jesus breaks down for the Jews why they don’t BELIEVE.

Let’s look at what belief means:

Belief: an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists; trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.

Jesus makes a very simple yet powerful statement on why the Jews did not believe Him.
“You do not believe because you are not my sheep.”
Vs. 26

This tells us that their lives were not committed to Christ or under His authority. They had yet to make a decision to follow Him.

How do I live a life of victory in Christ?

Make the decision to follow Him daily and the commitment be His sheep and let Him be your Shepherd.

If you are His sheep, you will: vs. 27
1. Know Him
2. Know His voice
3. Follow Him

The Word of God is what brings us closer to Him because we get to know Him and His commands through His word.

In any relationship, what we invest in it, is what we get out of it.

I think about when I first met my husband. I was 11 years old. We became great friends in the GANG, worship, and various ministries we served together in. We were able to get to know each other well during these times.

It was 10 years later that the Lord spoke to Vic and told him I would be his wife and he asked me out for the first time. Eight months later, we became one and God blessed us with one of the best days of our lives. It didn’t all just happen overnight. We had a friendship. We knew each other.   How much more Jesus desires to know us and be the closest to us. There’s no greater assurance or joy then being at the feet of Jesus and being in His appointed perfect will for your life.

We can’t believe in someone or something we don’t know. Get to know Your Father and dive into His Word like never before. You’ll get to know Him and His precious voice and you’ll know when He speaks to you because you will recognize Him.

Victory is ours! Let’s march forward in it!

Day 12 – Check Your Tag

We all know the worth of any item we buy is determined by who the designer is. Someone’s name on a pair of shoes can change the value of the shoes from $30 to $3,000. The designer’s name has everything to do with the value of the item.   Did you know Jesus bought you? He redeemed us over 2,000 years ago. Your worth is based on the price Christ paid for you – You’re worth a lot. The designer and redeemer of your life is the richest man alive.

Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5)

For a long time I struggled with my worth for many reasons; the influences of this world, the way I was treated at times. Harboring false guilt. Comparing myself with others and falling short in appearance, ability and accomplishes. Setting up unrealistic standards and expectations for myself. Overgeneralizing negatives: “I’ve failed – that makes me a failure.” And the list goes on. I had to realize that there was only thing that would be able to change me and that was to take the word of God and apply it in my life.

How did I conqueror this inner battle? The word tells that we are MORE THAN conquerors. To fully realize how worthy you are, embrace the following:

Work on eliminating negative attitudes and beliefs. (Philippians 4:8)

Obtain a scriptural understanding of having love for yourself (Galatians 5:14)

Refuse to compare yourself with others. (2 Corinthians 10:12)

Thank God for His unconditional love for you. (Psalm 48:9)

Hope in God’s promise to mold you to be like Christ (Romans 8:29)

Yield your talents and abilities to helping others (12:6-8)

By applying these simple things to our walk, we will walk according to Gods value place on our lives. We were bought with a price and we are special to God and his heart.

Day 11 – Celebrate your Victories

field of spring grass and sunset

It’s been faith lifting knowing that others have gone through some tough times but they have learned to trust God & bounce back up!

Today I want to talk about Celebrating your victories.

“No, despite all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” – Romans 8:37

If there is ever a time to walk in your victory, it is N.O.W.

  • Nobody can stop you, except you.
  • Others are connected to your victories.
  • Walk in the Spirit & daily deny the flesh.

“The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came…Anticipate your battles; fight them on your knees before temptation comes, and you will always have victory.” – CAA

unnamedThree ways to walk in your victory:

A) In the presence of God – where there is fullness of joy!

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy;” – Psalm 16:11

B) In prayer – you can say to that mountain move out of my way, and it shall move!

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20

C) In practicing love – love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” – Matthew 5:44
